21st & 22nd November 2015
Lausanne, Olympic Capital, celebrates sport with Stéphane Lambiel and Bastian Baker
Important: the weather conditions announced for the opening day of Champions! on Friday do not guarantee the security of the show. Because of the wind, the organizers have decided to postpone the scheduled performance Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22. Saturday evening's performance is not concerned with this decision and will perform according to schedule.
The Olympic Capital will be lit up by a magnificent spectacle in November 21st and 22nd to mark the 100th birthday of the IOC in Lausanne. More than 400 artists and elite athletes will be paying tribute to the Olympic values on place de la Riponne, which will be transformed for a spectacular show mixing music, skating, pyrotechnics and theatrical performances.
So come along and celebrate this centenary, a prelude to the celebrations to come in 2020 with the Youth Olympic Games.
A spectacular show
More than 400 skaters, dancers, acrobats, singers, musicians and elite athletes will be appearing on a number of stages in front of the Palais de Rumine.
Pyrotechnics, music and sport will be the name of the game with Bastian Baker, who will be presenting a previously unseen performance on the main stage, and Stéphane Lambiel, who will be our host for the stunning choreography on an ice stage.
Demonstrations and taster sessions of ice sports such as curling, figure skating, short track and pound hockey will be offered free of charge to the public.
