Parking

Three different types of parking zones:

• White (with parking disc): authorized duration variable,
  please refer to the nearby roadsigns
• Blue (with parking disc): 90 min. max.
• Individual or collective parking meter

The parking disc (free of charge) is obligatory and is obtainable
from police stations together with traffic maps.

Speed limits

In town: between 30 and 50 km/h (between 19 and 31 mph)
Out of town: 70 to 80 km/h (44 to 50 mph)
Motorways: 120 km/h (75 mph)

Motorway Sticker

Your car must have the compulsory «Motorway Sticker» to use the motorway system.
This is a tax that is paid yearly for motorway use. If you are driving a rental car, this will be
included with the car. The Motorway Sticker is available in post offices or service stations
for the price of CHF 40.-.

Seat belts

Seat belts are obligatory in front and rear seats.
