Alternative walks

There are a number of ways of visiting Lausanne on foot, for example you can follow the proposals itinerary of the excellent guide and writer Pierre Corajoud, geographer and ethnologist, who has just put together three «alternative» walks. These walks last one and a half hours, are open to all, and will take in three key areas of the city: the Sous-Gare district (including in particular the gardens of Beau-Rivage Palace and the Ouchy quays), the area going from Sauvabelin à la Cité (with a small lake, a watchtower and the Fondation de l'Hermitage, a popular destination for amateur painters) and the city centre (with the Tour Bel-Air, the rue de Bourg, the mediaeval city, the cathedral and the town hall). «An alternative view of the city» from an ardent connoisseur who is a self-confessed «adventure guide»!
