The Sports Service aims to use the Lausanne Sports Challenge to increase the number of people doing sport. It is not a competition - unless with yourself.
Every person having taken part in a minimum of three or four disciplines receives a commemorative prize and a diploma. These are presented at an annual awards ceremony.
The Lausanne Sports Challenge is open to anyone, aged 18 and above, wishing to take part in several sporting events over the course of a year. The result is not important: what counts is taking part and doing different sports.
Five categories are offered
The Junior Challenge is designed for youngsters aged 12 and over. Participation in three different sporting disciplines is required.
Challenge I is designed for people who are not in the habit of doing sport. Participation in three different sporting disciplines is required.
Challenge II is aimed at people used to some exertion. Here too, participation in three different sporting disciplines is required.
The Challenge III is aimed at experienced practitioners wishing to work their way up to the SuperChallenge. Four different disciplines must be practised.
The Super Challenge is reserved for seasoned athletes who are accustomed to this type of event and who wish to tackle intensive and repeated challenges. Four different disciplines must be practised.
The Lausanne Sports Challenge is organised by the Sports Service of the City of Lausanne in collaboration with the different organisers of sporting events.
