Lausanne - Exposition
By showcasing some sixty rarely seen works, some on display for the first time, the exhibition sheds light on a little-known aspect of the painter’s career.
Alongside his oil paintings, Giovanni Giacometti (1868-1933) was also a lifelong watercolourist. His views of the Engadin valley and Val Bregaglia, as well as a handful of interior scenes and portraits of friends and family in watercolours were planned as fully fledged works of art, quite apart from his other creative endeavours.
