Myclimate “CAUSE WE CARE”

Lausanne Tourism is committed to fostering ecological, economic and social sustainability on all levels. This commitment is particularly aimed at strengthening the social and solidarity economy and accelerating the transition to a circular and regenerative economy.
Lausanne Tourism has joined the myclimate “Cause We Care” programme to more effectively promote climate protection at a local level. In order to finance both this programme as well as local sustainable initiatives supporting climate protection, Lausanne Tourism has decided to charge a small premium of a minimum CHF 1.00 on a selection of activities and products sold via its website or at the counter. The donations generated through this “Cause We Care” programme will be matched by the tourist office. The total funds raised through this initiative are intended to financially compensate for the CO2 emissions produced by a portion of the local tourist activities. This will enable the activities and products in question to become ‘climate neutral’.
