Cosy café by day, trendy restaurant in the evening. This place is conducive to relaxation with its bistro-style charm, but also with food that holds its own with major restaurants. Their salmon tartare is one of my faves!

Café de Grancy is characterised by its commitment to regional products, and the authentic and delicious dishes it serves. As I worked there for many years, I can vouch for the constant pleasure of returning to that establishment thanks to its helpful and friendly staff. A must-visit address to savour local dishes in a warm atmosphere.

This café is located in the heart of the neighbourhood and for good reasons: a friendly atmosphere as well as its refined cuisine that highlights authentic flavours, prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Don’t hesitate to go there, whether for brunch, lunch or dinner.

More info

This establishment has been awarded the “ Café historique de Lausanne ” label established by the city of Lausanne in 2021. Set in a beautiful building built at the end of the 19th century in close proximity to the train station and the “Ficelle”, the Café de Grancy welcomes a variety of customers nowadays. The building was transformed in the mid 1980s, but the two fluted columns still stand as witnesses to a certain monumentality of this former brasserie.
