Sushi Zen Palace

Faithful to the reputation of its Chef Edgar Bovier and the quality of its gastronomic offer, the Lausanne Palace has obtained 14 GaultMillau points for its Japanese restaurant called Sushi Zen Palace. Judging by the name, one might expect sushis only. Far from it. The dishes comprise the full culinary range Japan has to offer.
Connoisseurs of exotic flavours know: sushis, however delicious they may be, are only a very small part of Japanese gastronomy. The menu card of the Suhi Zen Palace well reflects this diversity with dishes cooked by Chefs who come directly from Japan.

Raw fish, a Japanese favourite, has a place of honour but in the form of original sushis that are enriched with foie gras, caviar and even camembert. There are also tartares, sashimis and carpaccios. Japanese-style beef, which is reputed for its tenderness, melts in your mouth whether it is served raw or cooked. Try the ”Shab-Shab” menu, a Japanese variant of Chinese fondue.

The restaurant has the same price list as the Palace, but the menus are reasonably priced.
