Wi-Fi access

All that is needed is a laptop with wireless network card. This service has been provided by the multimedia team and delivers all the benefits of the city’s public wireless network infrastructure.

To safeguard minors, a filtering system blocking access to sites that may cause offence or violate public decency (adult sites, violence, drug abuse, sites promoting racial hatred) has been implemented.

Lausanne’s wireless internet locations (FreeSpots)

You have free access to Wi-Fi in all the libraries. Fixed internet stations in Chauderon allow you to surf the web (for a limited period). You can also use iPads in Chauderon, Entre-Bois and Montriond.

Free Wi-Fi in tourist information offices

The Tourism offices at the railway station and at Ouchy now offer free Wi-Fi. Visitors can connect to the network and enjoy unlimited access by entering a security code sent to their portable device.
The system automatically recognises people who have connected previously, enabling them to gain direct access without having to sign in again on every visit.
