De todos los parques hermosos que forman el patrimonio vegetal histórico de Lausana, Mon-Repos es sin duda el más extraordinario. Es excepcional por la diversidad de sus elementos arquitectónicos (torre neogótica, cascada, templo neoclásico, orangerie, pajareras, etc.) y lo es también por la riqueza de la documentación que tenemos sobre él y por la armonía del conjunto.

One of my favourite places in Lausanne is Mon-Repos Park. I grew up in the northern part of town and when I attended Bethusy School, Mon-Repos Park was a sacred spot. It is located close to Rue Marterey and its many excellent restaurants. It was our favourite spot for lunch when the weather was good and our favourite meeting place after classes. I grew up in that park and I still really appreciate it to this day.

Verdadero remanso de paz y frescor en el corazón de la ciudad. Este lugar invita a pasear, a meditar y a observar. Es también un agradable parque de barrio que ofrece espacios para jugar y que los niños disfrutan mucho. Sin embargo, el parque de Mon Repos es mucho más que eso, es un testimonio importante del movimiento del jardín paisajístico que deserrolló en Europa en la segunda mitad del s. XVIII, nos habla del tiempo y de un lugar rebosante de discusiones ideológicas, intercambios culturales y resplandor intelectual.
