I have a scientific passion and love for the art of baking. I adore carrying out new culinary experiments, even if they're not always conclusive. I also like to travel and discover the world! I have lived in France, Australia and now here I am in Switzerland. Since I’m curious to get to know new countries and their cultures, for me there’s nothing better than spending time with the locals while enjoying good food. I love trying out new cafés and restaurants and capturing the moment by photographing my dishes, immortalising an often fleeting moment of life! I can't wait to share my favourites with you!
« Lausanne for me is an amazing multicultural and dynamic city. The seasons here are well defined and so are the corresponding activities: skiing and eating cheese raclette in winter, hiking and paddling on the lake in summer. There's something for everyone! »
Cosy café by day, trendy restaurant in the evening. This place is conducive to relaxation with its bistro-style charm, but also with food that holds its own with major restaurants. Their salmon tartare is one of my faves!
Hungry as a wolf? I suggest you try this crazy brunch! On the menu: English breakfast, avocado toast or burgers, all that served with a plate of pancakes. As an included extra treat: homemade ice tea! Book ahead as it’s very popular!
Close to the train station, it’s the perfect place to savour delicious ramen, their signature dish! Pork, beef, chicken or vegetarian, there’s something for everyone. To end on a sweet note, the iced mochis are delish!
Want some exoticism with a magnificent view on Lake Geneva? This lakeside restaurant offers all the classics of Thai cuisine with different levels of heat to satisfy all palates. A true voyage for your taste buds.
Something to celebrate or do you want to indulge yourself? Brunch at the beau-rivage includes everything you could want and then some. Quality seasonal products! Their hot dishes are scrumptious. Advice: everything is delicious so take a bit of everything!
Poke bowls have finally arrived in Switzerland - straight from Hawaii. SPOT has adopted the idea and added local seasonal produce. The perfect meal to enjoy on the shores of the lake: a real treat and healthy all at the same time! And their cookies are to die for!
Looking for somewhere different to dine? Scandinavian cuisine is little-known but more than tempting. The smørrebrøds make a delicious shared accompaniment to an aperitif (the one with beetroot and fruit is truly incredible). Their main course of gravlax made from Swiss salmon will add freshness and lightness to your dinner.
If, like me, you adore indulgent breakfasts, don’t hesitate to make a bee-line for Saint Sulpice - this pâtisserie sells pains au chocolat oozing with butter but crisp at the same time. Their cakes are original, full of flavour and with an unbeatable price. I can’t resist their caramel millefeuille pastries flavoured with peanuts.
I fell in love with the many and varied flavours of Indian food when I spent three months in India. It’s difficult to find all these flavours in Europe but whenever I eat at Nandanam I feel I am off on my travels again! Their dishes are subtle, full-flavoured and their lassi is yummy. Something different: Saturday brunch!
Do you find it impossible to decide what type of food you want to eat? Then make your way to Eat me, a relaxed and relaxing place where you can discover a vast range of cocktails and set off on a culinary journey powered by a tapas menu drawn from every corner of the world. Their “Asia” menu is my personal favourite but everything here is delicious! For real foodies: their cheesecake is more than good!
If you are a fan of Vietnamese food this little, unpretentious shop will surprise your taste-buds and carry you off to the other side of the world. You can try delicious Bao and Bánh mì there to eat on the go, but my overall favourite is their Phô Bô, a soup bursting with traditional flavours. A real delight!
One of my favourite pastries and chocolate shops in the heart of Lausanne. It’s impossible to resist their buttery and so crispy “Galette des rois”. Not to mention their chocolate Easter creations that are as beautiful as they are delicious, and always highly original!
An incredible rooftop restaurant located at the metro stop Sorge. On the Vortex’s 8th floor, you’ll discover an incredible view over the lake and mountains. Settled in a cosy chair or sofa, you can taste local beers and wines, and for foodies, I recommend the delicious slices of pizza!
Always in search of Indian food that I just love, I came across this small restaurant hidden in a street in Chavannes that serves hearty and delicious dishes. You can even adjust the degree of heat in your food. My favourite: Korma chicken with that touch of mango… difficult not to lick the plate clean at the end!
Recently opened in the heart of Lausanne, Uncle Gau offers a Eurasian cuisine that comes in the shape of tapas to be shared. A unique gastronomical experience with blends of flavours. Difficult to single out one dish, but my taste buds still remember the Gravlax with its sage sorbet as well as the delicious lamb and dried apricots cromesquis.
An unusual, small restaurant in the heart of Renens, set up in a former workshop, LE GRAM favours short supply chains and seasonal produce. Perfect for a healthy yet delicious lunch! Their outdoor courtyard lets you take a break from the town for the duration of your meal. Try sampling their seasonal vegetable quiches! When it’s apéro time, their local beers and wines will be a perfect match for their nibbles.
If, like me, you love Moroccan cuisine but don’t know how to cook it, this restaurant located just opposite the CHUV is well worth the detour. The royal couscous and their tajines are incredible, the flavours will transport you and, as the servings are very generous, I can guarantee you’ll walk away feeling full.
If you fancy drinking tea and savouring a sweet indulgence, why not do something different and try this Japanese tea room? Their pastries are delicious and so cute! Their cheesecake shaped like an actual piece of cheese is light but so moreish and I love their savoury chicken curry bao buns!
Close to the Palais de Beaulieu, this small bakery is worth a stop. It specialises in CRUFFINS!, viennoiseries that are a cross between croissants and muffins, crispy and filled with sumptuous cream. They come in various flavours such as the excellent peanut butter-jam! And their cinnamon buns are just as delish!
If you want to spend a peaceful moment as you enjoy your meal, hesitate no longer and book a table to dine there. This charming restaurant next to the Fondation de l’Hermitage serves local and seasonal cuisine, with scrumptious and appetising dishes. You can also brunch in this very cocooning setting.
A garden hidden in the heart of Lausanne just below our beautiful cathedral! When the days are warm, nothing beats enjoying a snack board of quality cheeses and cold meats, together with a glass of wine or a local craft beer. One tip: get there early as there’s always a crowd jostling to get a table in this highly popular spot.
