La «Rue de Bourg», oggi riservata ai pedoni, fino all'inizio del XIX secolo era una delle arterie principali della vecchia Losanna. A quel tempo, la città si sviluppava su tre colline – della Cité, di Saint-Laurent e di Bourg.
Questa via, abitata perloppiù da famiglie aristocratiche, era un salotto di cultura ed eleganza. Alzando gli occhi, si abbraccia con lo sguardo il più bell'insieme di edifici cittadini del XVII e XVIII secolo. I tempi moderni ne hanno fatto un tempio dello shopping, dalle curiosità alle grandi firme.
