Tommaso, the 360 nomad

Born in Sardinia, I grew up in Lausanne and travelling has always been part of my aspirations. Since I received my first camera, I learned to look at the surrounding nature with new eyes.
After studying hotel management, I am today self-employed as a content creator and I improve the image of various brands on social media.
Photography is for me a magnificent way to meet and share; it has become my passion and is an integral part of my daily life. Say cheese!
« For me, Lausanne is… the breathtaking landscapes, mountains close by, partying until dawn and at the same time peacefulness. For me, it’s a large city by virtue of its size, events and multiculturality, yet small because everything is close by. »

I miei consigli

Riguardo a Spiaggia di Vidy
A sandy beach?! Yes, we do also have our “Venice Beach” in Lausanne. A stone’s throw from the Vidy Skate Park, there are volleyball and basketball courts, as well as small fine-sand beaches for a stroll. Want shade? There is that too! All along the promenade, the small beaches are shaded by magnificent oaks. Take your snorkelling gear and who knows, you might meet Nemo!
Riguardo a Mauro Traiteur
As an Italian, I have to admit it’s difficult to find really good Italian places in Lausanne… Mauro Traiteur will transport you straight to the “land of gastronomy” during your lunch break! Try the focaccia with cured ham, it’s a proper delicacy! My tip: avoid going there at noon sharp as there’s often a queue!
If you’re an early bird and have nothing planned on a Saturday, the Jetée de la Compagnie organises concerts at dawn from time to time. A coffee, classical music and the sunrise over those magnificent Swiss Alps: it’s a pleasant way to start the day and spend some quality time with your family.
Riguardo a Sleepy Bear
OK, it’s a fact that coffee isn’t our strong point in Switzerland. However, I have recently discovered a small bar in the area under the train station that offers a rich variety of original coffees with aromas from all around the world. A wee tropical touch in the Olympic Capital, the Sleepy Bear Café will take you on a journey through its unusual caffeinated specialities.
