Valentine, the travlover

A Lausanner at heart for many years, I am always attracted to the discovery of new lands (both near and far) and new panoramas. As far back as I remember, I’ve always had a camera in my hands. I love to capture the moments and landscapes that I discover to freeze them in time and make them last an eternity.
When I had to choose my studies, I turned without hesitation to a bachelor’s degree in artistic direction to fulfil my passion for the arts. Thanks to the knowledge acquired in many fields, this choice enabled me to develop my travel blog and share my discoveries in Lausanne as well as those from abroad.
« For me, Lausanne is… a whole world. A city on a human scale that can be discovered just as easily on foot as on public transport. A city that shows a different side depending on the neighbourhood where we are. From an almost Parisian atmosphere at the Rue de Bourg, to Japan and its cherry blossoms at the Olympic Museum and around Mon-Repos, to the alternative, Berlin-like culture of the Flon District. »
Riguardo a Café de Prélaz
With an interior décor straight from the most beautiful Pinterest account, the Café de Prélaz is the place where you can go at any time of the day. For a nice start in the morning with a coffee, at lunchtime for revisited brasserie dishes, for jazz events every Thursday or for a weekend brunch. I’m a fan of the wallpapered wall and its pretty yellow neon light.
Located in Chavannes-Près-Renens, only a few stops from the centre of Lausanne on the m1 metro line, Le Perchoir sits atop the roof of the Vortex. A rooftop of more than 250 m2 that is an invitation to chill. The lake and mountains form the backdrop with stunning sunsets at the end of the day. It’s the place where I love to go for apéro with my friends. What’s more, the prices are very affordable and concerts are often organised there!
The Hermitage Park, above the city of Lausanne, is without a doubt my favourite. A book in hand, lying on the green grass, I am ready for a relaxing break with, as a view, the silhouette of the Cathedral standing out in front of the lake and the Alps.
Riguardo a Il lago lemano
The magic of the Lausanne region lies in its diversity. In only 10 minutes, you get from the thriving heart of the Flon to the peaceful shores of Lake Geneva. Many pebble or sandy beaches invite you to bask in the sun or in the shade of trees. From the Haldimand Tower to Saint-Sulpice, you will be spoilt for choice. If you enjoy sports activities, don’t miss the Vidy area, where many basketball and volleyball courts are available.
