In 2014, for the company's twentieth anniversary, Chicos Mambo presented TUTU in Paris for the first time, a multifaceted dance show. Six performers, both dancers and actors, reinterpret classical codes with surprising elements. The show features a fast pace and contagious joy. This multidisciplinary and whimsical performance combines humorous and poetic scenes that set the rhythm. Visual aesthetics are essential: it shines, spins, is colorful, lively, and engaging. The dynamic is enhanced by imaginative play with costumes, materials, and wigs. Everything is designed with graphic and sound contrasts to surprise. Directed by Philippe Lafeuille, the staging blends grotesque and humor to the point of cliché. Expressions are exaggerated, and the six artists juggle cross-dressing, taking the audience from televised dance contests to Swan Lake and tragic theater in wild and hilarious scenes featuring babies, femme fatales, and various characters. Lighting plays with shapes and the dancers' whirl, giving TUTU its poetic and dreamlike dimension. Flexible bodies, astonishing dance steps, naturally disturbing ease, characters changing skins at will. Doors open at 7:00 PM. Organizer: Live Music Production.
