This evening, Chic Astral collaborates with HEMU and invites the DKSJ ALL STAR PROJECT to open the jam session.



Each year, the five jazz departments of the Swiss music universities join forces within the DKSJ All Stars Project, bringing together young musicians around a major figure of the Swiss jazz scene.



For the 2026 edition, the project welcomes German pianist, singer, and composer Olivia Trummer. On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of her first recording, she revisits her repertoire with "Songbook," a program gathering some of her most emblematic compositions, specially rearranged for this creation.



Two students from each of the five music universities participate in this artistic adventure. After two days of rehearsals, the ensemble will tour Lucerne, Zurich, Lausanne, Bern, and Basel.



Recognized on the international jazz scene, Olivia Trummer has performed alongside Eric Clapton, Bobby McFerrin, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and the SWR Big Band, and has played at Carnegie Hall, Birdland Jazz Club, Blue Note Tokyo, and the Montreux Jazz Festival.

THE CHIC ASTRAL: the resident collective of the Jumeaux Jazz Club, Chic Astral has offered various neo-meta-pataphysical performances for several years, with jam sessions being among the most appreciated. This commitment to connecting regional musicians led them to organize jam sessions in various Lausanne clubs and to become the house band of the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2023 and 2025 editions and of the Jumeaux Jazz Club since its opening in 2024.
