All persons accessing the website of Lausanne Tourisme declare they accept the following conditions.

Use of website

All the elements of Lausanne Tourisme website are especially protected by legislation covering intellectual property and in particular that relating to the rights of the author. The reproduction, transmission, modification or utilisation of the website of Lausanne Tourisme  for public or commercial purposes, as well as the creation of links to the latter require the prior written authorisation of Lausanne Tourisme .

In maintaining its website, Lausanne Tourisme  places particular importance on the quality, completeness and security of the information it provides. Furthermore, it takes reasonable steps to ensure the correct functioning of its website. Nevertheless, Lausanne Tourisme  cannot guarantee the accuracy, reliability or completeness of the information, images, documents, software or other data it includes. Furthermore, system failures, such as interruptions, attacks by computer viruses or loss of data cannot be excluded.

Finally, Lausanne Tourisme reserves the right to expand, modify or close down its website, along with the information published on it, at any time and without prior notification.

Use of images on the site

All images are the property of Lausanne Tourisme. They are only and exclusively legally available for the promotion of the Lausanne local authority for administrative purposes and for the promotion of tourism in Lausanne, and any abuse could be lead to a claim for financial compensation. For all other uses, for example commercial or in the form of private publications (CD-ROM, internet sites, etc.), the said images must be subject to a written request by e-mail to editions@lausanne-tourisme.ch

Terms of Use for the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page operated by Lausanne Tourisme

Lausanne Tourisme is a non-profit economic association; its purpose is to encourage development and promote tourism in Lausanne and its region.
Its “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page pursues the same objectives.

The “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page brings together an international community of all ages whose members share a common interest in the city of Lausanne. This public platform is therefore used to share photos, news, video clips and articles. Every user is free to express their opinion and post content, thereby contributing to the active online use of the Page.

The present Terms of Use have been drawn up for the attention of “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page users to define the conditions for the peaceful and user-friendly use of its exchange forums.
By “liking” the Facebook Page the user fully and unreservedly accepts the present Terms of Use. He or she likewise undertakes to observe said Terms every time he or she visits the Page.

User’s Rights and Obligations

As a user of the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page you undertake to ensure that the content of your contributions is in keeping with the applicable laws and regulations; that it is not in breach of public order or the accepted principles of morality; and that it does not infringe the rights of individual persons.

You are therefore prohibited from publishing any of the following on the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page:

  • Any contributions regarded as abusive, obscene, vulgar or likely to offend the sensibilities of others, particularly other members of the community.
  • Contributions that are contrary to, or likely to be contrary to, public order, the accepted principles of morality or the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Contributions corresponding to a business activity or commercial enterprise, with links to commercial sites.
  • Contributions infringing, or likely to infringe, the rights of third parties and personality rights.
  • Contributions infringing, or likely to infringe, the image or reputation of a brand or natural or legal person.

By becoming a user of the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page, you also undertake to abide by the following rules:

  • Your contributions are to observe the courtesy necessary for the smooth running of the debates.
  • Your contributions are to use language that is both correct and comprehensible.
  • Your contributions are not to be repetitive in character.


The discussion forum of the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page is moderated retrospectively by a community manager with the aim of ensuring a peaceful use of the Page and allow constructive debates between users.

By becoming a user of the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page you acknowledge the community manager’s option to monitor contributions and remove at any time any comments in breach of the provisions set out in the paragraph entitled User’s Rights And Obligations. Users who are recurrently in breach of the Terms of Use are likely to be banned from the community.


The community manager will do his utmost to prevent contributions that are contrary to the laws and regulations and/or contrary to public order and the accepted principles of morality. However as the contributions posted by users go on line instantly and are monitored only thereafter, Lausanne Tourisme cannot guarantee the legality, probity or quality of the contributions posted on its Facebook Page.

Contributions posted on the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page are posted under the sole responsibility of the users who put them online. Lausanne Tourisme shall in no way be responsible for these contributions and the consequences of their dissemination.


The user guarantees to Lausanne Tourisme that he or she holds all the necessary rights for the publication and dissemination of the contributions placed online. The photos and videos placed on line on the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Page can be shared by Lausanne Tourisme with other members of the community, providing the source is cited.

Changes to the MyLausanne Facebook Page

As the terms and conditions of access to, and use of, the “Lausanne, Capitale Olympique” Facebook Page are regulated by Facebook, they are subject to change, which does not preclude the application of the present Terms.

Terms and conditions for purchasing and using tourism experiences sold on the Lausanne Tourisme website

Payment is due at the time of purchase by credit card or TWINT. It is possible to settle the payment in cash directly in one of the Tourist Information Offices. Once the purchase is confirmed, the booking cannot be cancelled or refunded. Prices are shown all taxes included. The images used to present the offers are not legally binding.
The partners of Lausanne Tourisme proposing their offers on the website remain solely responsible for the legality, veracity, completeness and updating of information relating to their products (price, equipment, description, …). Lausanne Tourisme declines all responsibility in this regard.

Data protection

All personal data will be considered confidential. Only the information necessary for the handling of the booking will be automatically processed and might be shared with the associated partner in order to manage that booking.

Specific mentions for the Lausanne City Pass

The Lausanne City Pass grants access to various attractions listed on the website. It must be presented for each use. Each attraction can only be visited once. The Pass cannot be used in combination with other offers. The Pass is personal and non-transferable, and is only valid for the dates and duration chosen at the time of purchase, for two or three consecutive days. The Lausanne City Pass is neither refundable nor replaceable. The children’s age will be checked at the entrance of each attraction.


The following Terms of Use set out the legal terms and conditions on which Lausanne Tourism (hereinafter: “We”), based at Avenue de Rhodanie 2 in 1001 Lausanne (Switzerland) and who can be reached by the email address sales@lausanne-tourisme.ch allows you to get and use a MyVaud card. By asking for a card and by registering on the platform available in particular at the address PAGE WEB (hereinafter: the “Platform”), you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms of Use and agree to be bound by them.

Lausanne Tourism may change these Terms of Use at any time. The clients shall be informed in advance by email of any substantial changes. The changes shall be considered as accepted if the client does not object in writing (at least by email) to Lausanne Tourism in the month following the changes.


Lausanne Tourism offers 2 000 welcome gifts including a bottle of wine from the City of Lausanne, chocolats from the house of Buet and a limited in time worth CHF 100.- in the form of a MyVaud card to clients who meet the following conditions:
– To have booked a room for at least 1 night or more in a hotel between 1. November 2021 and 31. March 2022, located in one of the following cities: Lausanne, Bussigny, Chavannes-près-Renens, Crissier, Ecublens, Lutry, Pully, Romanel-sur-Lausanne, St-Sulpice
– To justify this booking to Lausanne Tourism with a written booking confirmation issued by the hotel concerned. The booking confirmation shall include the name of the hotel, the dates of stay and the number of rooms booked.
– To have communicated the booking at least 48 hours (working days – Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) before arrival at the hotel.

If the clients cancel their booking, the welcome gift shall in no case be given to them. Assuming that, by mistake, a welcome gift was given to a client who had, even partially, cancelled their booking which implies that the above conditions are not met anymore, the client agrees to send it back to the hotel or directly to Lausanne Tourism.

Lausanne Tourism may refuse to give a welcome gift to a client who violates the terms and conditions or in case of abuse, without having to justify its decision.


The clients who met the conditions must register on the Platform and ask there for the welcome gift. If the conditions are met and the stock of gifts is not sold out, the welcome gift shall be delivered by Lausanne Tourism to the hotel concerned before arrival of the client. The hotel staff is in charge to hand over the welcome gift to the client.

The MyVaud card may be used from November 1st, 2021 to March 31st, 2022 as a means of payment with tourism providers participating to the action, which list is available on the Platform (restaurant, museum, touristic site, winemaker, touristic transport or hotel). It may be used by the client to pay in whole or in part their bill, with one or more providers, once or several times, within the limit of the available balance.

The client is in no case entitled to resell nor claim for reimbursement of the balance of the card.


To the maximum extent possible by law, Lausanne Tourism excludes all and any warranty, guaranty and responsibility in relation to the MyVaud card or the Platform.

Vaud Promotion has signed a collaboration agreement with the company Boncard, which provides the service and management system for prepaid cards “Vaud à la carte”. Boncard makes every effort to allow a trouble-free and uninterrupted use of the service but cannot guarantee this at all times. It reserves in particular the right to suspend the access to the service at any time in the event of a high security risks or malfunctioning as well as for maintenance work and to temporarily suspend the system in the event of force majeure event or technical failure.

No claim for damages may result from technical failures which exclude or hinder the use of the MyVaud card. Vaud Promotion does not warrant that the Platform shall be available at all times and expressly reserves the possibility to discontinue the Platform at any time without notice

Lausanne Tourism is in no case responsible for the services provided by the providers as part of the use of the MyVaud card. Only the provider is responsible and its own conditions apply to the relationship between itself and the client.

Lausanne Tourism will sent the welcome gift to the hotel before the client’s arrival. Lausanne Tourism shall under no circumstances be held responsible for any late delivery. The welcome gift will not be sent at the client’s home.


As part of the getting of the welcome gift and of the use of the Platform, Lausanne Tourism processes Personal data that you provide to Us according to our privacy policy. It is supplemented by the provisions of this article.

5.1 Which Personal data do We collect and for what purpose?

When you ask for a welcome gift and you register on the Plateform, then when you use it afterwards, you agree that We process the Personal data that you share with Us.

In addition to the Personal data described in the Policy, the following Personal data may be processed:
– Last name, first name, postal and electronic address, phone number;
– Booking confirmation for the nights, as well as dates of stay;
– Information concerning the use of the Platform, any information that you may share with Us.

This Personal data is collected in order to provide you with the services as proposed on the Platform.

In this context, your Personal data shall be used in order to offer you other similar offers in the future and to keep you informed through our newsletter, to which you can object at any time by writing an email to sales@lausanne-tourisme.ch.

5.2 Our Data Processors

We may share your Personal data with people and companies who provide Us with services as Data processors. To date, these include:
– UpSoft, in London (United Kingdom);
– Boncard payment & services AG, in Baden-Dättwil (Switzerland);
– All the providers on the Platform, located only in Switzerland.

Our Data processors are bound by an obligation of confidentiality and are only entitled to use your Personal data according to our instructions, these Terms of Use and the Policy.


These Terms of Use are governed by Swiss law.

Any dispute regarding these Terms of Use, their existence, validity, interpretation, execution or non-execution, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent ordinary courts in Lausanne (Switzerland).
