Discover the hidden treasures of Lausanne with Detective Blaireau and solve the riddles to find the code that will open the treasure chest.

Get your map at the train station visitor center and go to the starting point of the Detective-Trail at the Lausanne Cathedral where the first puzzle is already waiting for you. The itinerary will guide you from one puzzle to the next. You can solve the riddles according to the data on site. If you solve the riddles correctly, you will be able to open the lock of the treasure chest and take home a small prize.

How it works

After your purchase, go to the Lausanne Tourisme information center at the station
Collect your card from one of our city-experts
Go to the starting point at the cathedral to begin the adventure

Practical information

Duration: 2h30 (without break) – 4h30 (with break)

Distance: approx. 4 km

Opening hours Trail: Open every day – at the time of your choice. The hotline is available from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Access to the treasure chest: Monday – Sunday: 9.00 am – 6.00 pm. Not accessible December 25 and January 1. No responsibility is taken for the accuracy of this information. Outside of opening hours, the treasure chest is not accessible and we will send the small gift to your home. You will find information about the subsequent shipment in the PDF document after ordering.

Departure: Lausanne Cathedral, Place de la Cathédrale (Cité). Metro M2, bus 6 and 7 stops “Bessières

Arrival point: Lausanne Tourism information office, Lausanne train station

Further information: For puzzles 7 and 8, you are in Le Flon, which has a large number of shops and restaurants. For puzzle 12, you are at the Olympic Museum. You can have a picnic there. The temporary exhibitions at the Olympic Museum are free. Admission to other exhibitions is free for children under 16s and charged to adults.

Use of the metro: on the Detective-Trail you will make two trips by metro. If you only use the metro for these two journeys, you can buy individual tickets, otherwise we recommend the day pass for 2 zones (11, 12). Cost: CHF 9.30 full fare; CHF 6.90 half fare. Overnight guests receive a Lausanne Transport Card and do not need an individual ticket/day pass.

Points of sale on site: Lausanne Tourisme information office, Lausanne train station. Every day from 9 am to 6 pm, except on 25 December and 1 January when it is closed.
