More info

Spanning from Renaissance and Baroque counterpoint to computer-generated compositions, the program showcases how mathematical and algorithmic thinking have shaped the evolution of musical composition. The concert includes works by Bach, Chopin, Ligeti, and many more, blending solo piano music, algorithmic pieces for player piano, and interactive human-computer performances.
A former child prodigy, Kit Armstrong earned degrees in music, physics, and mathematics at the Royal Academy of Music, Imperial College London, and Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, amongst other universities. As a renowned concert pianist, he performs at major venues worldwide.
