We are committing in a global manner in favour of ecological, economic and social sustainability and suggest to you activities, addresses and experiences that contribute towards developing a social, local economy that is beneficial to everyone.
Committing with us to protect the climate
We have joined the “Cause We Care” programme. Led by the myclimate Foundation, this programme enables the funding of many projects. Concretely, it’s a financial contribution of at least CHF 1 per product or activity sold by the tourist office that is asked from customers. The tourist office commits to doubling that contribution to invest more in its own sustainability as well as in another project supported by myclimate.
This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Swiss foundation myclimate within the “Cause We Care” programme.
The projects in which we’re involved
Clean Drinking Water for Schools and Households in Uganda
The primary objective of the programme is to disseminate water purification systems to low-income households and institutions such as schools, starting in Uganda. Carbon finance is used to give households access to the clean water technologies thereby improving the livelihoods and health conditions of thousands of people and at the same time reducing CO2 emissions by reducing the consumption of non-renewable firewood and charcoal.

The Climate Fresk
The Fresk raises awareness of companies – including Lausanne Tourisme staff – without making them feel guilty. Through a shared understanding of the mechanisms at work, it enables individuals and organisations to create a serene and positive collective discussion on action levers.
