The Italian National Theatre Balletto di Milano presents the ballet Scheherazade – One Thousand and One Nights, set to music by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Aram Khachaturian.Inspired by the magical atmosphere of One Thousand and One Nights, this ballet transports the audience into the world of oriental tales.
Scheherazade, whose name means "daughter of the city," tells the sultan new stories night after night.
Each tale seems to suspend time and open the doors to a world of fantasy.
This original production is accompanied by the music of two great composers, creating a rich musical palette that intensifies the drama.
The choreography by Agnese Omodei Sale impresses with its power and sensuality.
Dynamic ensemble scenes alternate with moments of refined poetry, while the expressive scenography by Marco Pesta creates a truly vibrant space.
The sumptuous fabrics of the costumes, their rich colors and details transform each scene into a living painting.
