The start of this year's Tour will be on the banks of Lake Geneva, on Avenue de Rhodanie in Lausanne-Ouchy. Then, on a wide loop, the riders will head towards Lake Neuchâtel, before two successive climbs (3.5km at 6.1% then 3.7km at 4.5%) that will no doubt spread out the peloton on the way back. The route will then run alongside Lake Geneva, at the foot of the Lavaux vineyards, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just after the Olympic Museum, a final difficulty (2.3km at 5.4%) will determine the finish line, which will be on Place Saint François, at the end of a 400m straight.
Also don't miss the publicity caravan, a unique spectacle that opens the road to the Tour riders! The time will be announced a few weeks before the event.
The following day, the riders will take to the road between Aigle and Geneva. The third stage will run from Geneva to Poligny in the French Jura.
