Hermitage Park

Nature
This magnificent country park boasts one of the best vantage points in Lausanne. But the panoramic views are by no means the only attribute of the Hermitage. As the setting for an internationally renowned museum and spectacular trees, it blends nature and culture at the same time.

Did you know? Café Dalat occupies the bar of the former funicular that linked Lausanne to the Signal de Sauvabelin. This is a place with an unconventional atmosphere with its chubby, smiling Buddhas and the famous Vietnamese garnished rice wafers. Beware: do book ahead as it’s in high demand!

Total change of scenery, both on the plate or in the atmosphere that prevails in that Vietnamese restaurant housed in the former funicular station. A summer night on the terrace, watching the Vallon neighbourhood come to life creates a different kind of atmosphere, and one so pleasant to experience in Lausanne.

More info

Located in an old funicular railway station, the restaurant, one of Lausanne’s oldest Vietnamese restaurants, prepares delicious Vietnamese food in a setting of an old wooden chalet. Lausanne’s Dalat restaurant boasts an extensive menu containing all the classic Vietnamese and Asian dishes. Try their shrimp wontons, imperial bo bun or frogs’ legs with lemongrass.
