HESAV offers five Bachelor’s degree programmes:

- Nursing
- Physiotherapy
- Medical radiology technician
- Midwife
- Occupational therapy

It incorporates an interprofessional dimension into its teaching and contributes to the Master’s programmes in these fields, organised jointly by the University of Lausanne and the HES-SO.

HESAV also offers a preparatory year for careers in healthcare - the “Année propédeutique santé” - as well as continuing professional development and postgraduate courses tailored to the needs of the healthcare sector.

Focus on mobility: through a wide range of agreements around the world, HESAV actively encourages its students to take part in international mobility schemes. This enables them to develop their intercultural skills by undertaking study semesters, work placements or summer schools abroad.

Research in the service of health: HESAV carries out disciplinary and interdisciplinary research aimed at strengthening the scientific foundations necessary for improving practice, public health and the social and healthcare system. Within its areas of expertise, HESAV provides services to third parties and responds to requests from the public for information on healthcare, community health and prevention.
