In what type of accommodation can I use the Lausanne Transport Card?
In accordance with the inter-municipal regulations on tourist tax, the Lausanne Transport Card is available to guests staying in hotels, serviced apartments, youth hostels and campsites.
Please note: private accommodation, such as flats or rooms available to rent, is not eligible for the Lausanne Transport Card.
In which areas of the public transport network is the card valid?
The Lausanne Transport Card is valid in 2nd class on Mobilis zones 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19. It is strictly personal and non-transferable.
What information does the accommodation need to send me my card?
To generate and send the card, the accommodation provider requires the following details: surname, first name, language, email address, dates of stay, and the number of adults and children.
What happens if I made my booking via Booking.com?
The Lausanne Transport Card form will be sent to the unique, anonymous email address generated by Booking.com for your booking.
I haven’t received my card by email, or the information on it is incorrect: what should I do?
If you have not provided an email address, the card will be handed to you directly at check-in. If you have received it but any of the details are incorrect, please contact your accommodation directly so that they can correct the information.
If there are several of us on the booking, how can each of us get our card?
Where a booking is for more than one person, only the person who made the booking will receive the card by email, along with a link enabling them to register the other guests in the room and send their cards directly to them.
When is the travel card sent out?
For guests whose email address is already on file, the map is sent automatically no earlier than 3 days before arrival. For same-day arrivals, the map is sent automatically every 15 minutes.

How is my personal data protected?
A clear system of roles and authorisations ensures that only the relevant hosting providers have access to their customers’ personal data, which is stored in modern, secure data centres in Switzerland.
Can children and pets use the card?
Children under the age of 6 do not need a travel card: they can travel on public transport for free throughout Switzerland.
Dogs, meanwhile, can be issued with their own ‘child’ Lausanne Transport Card; simply enter the owner’s name in the fields provided for personal details.
