More info

Chalet-des-Enfants has been an ideal getaway for Lausanne city dwellers and passing visitors since the 20th century. It can be accessed by car and public transport coupled with a enjoyable little walk in the countryside. The 14th century building used to be a farm and was later converted into a renowned restaurant that is highly popular with gourmets.

How fitting its name is! Children love to come and play in the large garden in sunny weather, while their parents dine on the terrace. The menu card mentions the origin of the local ingredients. Above all of those that are part of Switzerland’s top products such as mountain Gruyère PDO, which is used for their lovely fondue mixtures. The wine card offers Vaudois vintages only. This restaurant is a member of the Slow Food movement and holder of the “Home-Made” label.
