The Burignon Estate in St-Saphorin has belonged since 1802 to the City of Lausanne. This small winegrowing hamlet, nestled in the heart of Lavaux, is a bed & breakfast with 16 beds. In summer, its beautiful terrace, offering a fabulous view over Lake Geneva and the Alps, doubles as a wine bar for an aperitif and serves a variety of tartares.

More info

Open all year round, the bed & breakfast offers two suites and a flat housed in “Le vieux Burignon”, an old building that has been renovated. Each lodging has its own independent entrance. Breakfast, consisting of local products, is served on request.

During the summer season, the Burignon’s terrace serves the Wines of the City of Lausanne for aperitif and also offers delicious tartares (beef, trout, tuna, tofu).

Since 2023, drones are deployed to treat the Burignon Estate’s plots with phytosanitary products, and the estate is transitioning towards organic viticulture. Its Viognier, its blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and its 1st Grand Cru Roches-Plates are definitely worth tasting.
