There’s nothing better than to tackle the weekend by sipping a Litz (like a Spritz, but better!) or another delicious cocktail on the terrace of the Brasserie de Montbenon. While you’re there, ask at the bar for a set of “boules” and begin a game of petanque in the park! Isn’t it starting to feel a bit like the holidays?

Housed in a superbly renovated historic hall, this brasserie highlights the canton of Vaud by relying on suppliers from the region. In the summer, the terrace becomes a popular place to dine or sip on a drink with a stunning view of the lake.

More info

This brasserie is one of the trendiest meeting places in Lausanne. The beautiful restaurant features a high ceiling and a terrace that opens onto a park with a unique view.

This is where you can enjoy terroir products enhanced with a modern touch as well as dishes from around the world. The best wines from the region and European vintages are ideal with these meals. Other beverages such as craft beers and cocktails of the moment are available from the restaurant bar.

This establishment has been awarded the “ Café historique de Lausanne ” label established by the city of Lausanne in 2021. This iconic Lausanne brasserie was set in the Casino rotunda, built for tourists in 1908 on the Montbenon Esplanade. The generous indoor space is extended by a terrace on the south that is sheltered by an elegant awning and embellished with ironwork typical of the Belle Epoque.
