Both a dance school and a professional company, the Igokat Centre is led by two former dancers of the Béjart Ballet, and is the reference classical and modern dance school in Lausanne. Kathryn Bradney is also the director of the Prix de Lausanne, a major ballet competition.
More info
The Igokat company was founded by Kathryn Bradney and Igor Piovano, two former dancers and teachers from the Béjart Ballet. Their goals are to pass on their passion for dance and to find the right balance between virtuosity and stage expression. During the year, ten professional dancers perform modern dance shows on stage. The dancers come from various countries such as Italy, the United States and Belgium. The sober décor is accompanied by video projections that help draw spectators on a journey with the dancers. Igokat offers professional, pre-professional and amateur dance classes to more than 800 students of all ages. Their offer is broad: classical, modern, hip-hop dance as well as Pilates. You’ll also find a boutique that sells dancing equipment.
