Sauvabelin and its lake have been a gathering place for Sunday family outings, school trips and visitors since the 19th century. It is one of Lausanne's symbols of nature in the city, as it takes no more than 10 minutes to reach this lush green setting from the city centre.

Still in the town and yet already in the countryside, the Sauvabelin Tower and Viewpoint offer walkers spectacular views of the surrounding area. Further along, visitors can explore Sauvabelin Lake among the oak trees and wander around the delightful animal park ProSpecieRara with its goats, woolly pigs, ducks, boar and various birds, roaming free or in enclosures.

The Parc de Sauvabelin is also home to “La Pinte du Lac” which offers local and regional cuisine, as well as cheese dishes.
