In the evening, in the morning, even on Sunday – in fact anytime – Tibits is open and offers a buffet with delicious vegetarian dishes. I love going there in the middle of the afternoon, when it’s quiet, so I can sit peacefully with a copious plate of veg and a ginger and lemon punch.

Tibits is fresh, tasty and uncomplicated. Guests can create their own plate to their liking and choose from over 40 homemade hot dishes, salads and desserts - as much as they like. In addition to the famous buffet, a large selection of delicious drinks awaits them at the bar: numerous hot drink specialities, local beers and regional wines, but also freshly squeezed juices and delicious cocktails.
On the first floor, Tibits also has an area of 210 m2 available for all types of events. "L'appartement des vignerons", a room that can be divided into 3 distinct spaces, including the well-known "Salle des vignerons", is a space designed to invite conviviality and creativity. Equipped with the best technology, vintage and modular furniture, an independent lounge for meals and coffee breaks, it is the ideal place to organize workshops, private receptions, press conferences, professional meetings, assemblies, etc
This establishment has been awarded the “ Café historique de Lausanne ” label established by the city of Lausanne in 2021. Former first-class station restaurant (the second-class one has disappeared). The 2017-2018 renovations have enabled to restore the paintings and preserve the wood panelling, ceiling, entrance and structured white-glass windows. The huge marouflaged canvases depict landscapes typical of this kind of establishment dedicated to travellers.
