As the leaves blaze with colour, the air softens and the light turns golden, every stroll becomes a sensory delight. Let our five ideas inspire your autumn adventure.

Parc de Valency

At the heart of this discreetly charming park, 80 lime trees line up to form an elegant perspective, watched over by a mysterious stone foal. In autumn, the purple beech trees offer a flamboyant spectacle, before giving way to the tranquillity of a belvedere or the cool shade of a grove.

Mon-Repos Park

Entering Mon-Repos is like stepping into a living painting. Heir to the art of 18th-century landscape gardening, it exudes the intellectual and cultural history of Lausanne. In autumn, its Japanese maples and ginkgo biloba trees are adorned with spectacular colours, offering walkers a true immersion in the poetry of the season.

Denantou Park

Exotic and romantic, Denantou charms visitors with its unique atmosphere. Lebanese cedars, majestic oaks, flower-filled meadows teeming with butterflies and a collection of rhododendrons make it a place of great botanical richness. But the highlight of the visit is its 16-metre Thai pavilion, a royal gift that gives the park an unexpected and exotic touch.

Sauvabelin Park

Just ten minutes from the city centre, Sauvabelin Park offers an instant change of scenery. Visitors can stroll along wooded paths, explore a nature reserve with oak trees that have been preserved for 50 years, and enjoy play huts for children. The reed-lined Sauvabelin Lake is perfect for relaxing, while the Panoramic Tower rewards curious visitors with breathtaking views of the city, Lake Geneva and the Alps ablaze with the setting sun.

Hermitage Park

Elegance and serenity define this place where culture and nature coexist harmoniously. Tall trees frame the mansion that houses the Fondation de l’Hermitage, one of Lausanne’s artistic gems. From its lawns, the view opens up to one of the most striking panoramas of the city, enhanced by the golden hues of autumn.
