1. On Lake Geneva with CGN: fondue on the move
Every Friday evening from 19 September to 12 December 2025, CGN takes foodies on a tasty cruise. On the menu: a fondue vigneronne or cheese fondue, a glass raised to Lake Geneva, and the magic of a city sparkling from the water. More than just dinner, it’s a sensory experience where you can let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of the waves and conversation.
Until 10 October, departure from Lausanne at 7.25 p.m., return at 9.15 p.m. Then, from 11 October, departure at 7.15 p.m. and return at 9.45 p.m.

2. Vitis Musicalis: intimate Fondue in a barrel in the vineyards
In Lutry, on the outskirts of Lausanne, the Vitis Musicalis estate offers a rare experience: enjoying a fondue in the intimacy of a specially designed barrel. Just a few guests, a cosy table, the vineyards below and Lake Geneva stretching as far as the eye can see. Here, the ritual becomes intimate, almost secret, like a privilege reserved for those who dare to stray from the beaten track.

3. Les Pintes ouvertes: sharing authenticity
From 4 to 6 December 2025, Lausanne celebrates conviviality with its traditional Pintes ouvertes. For just CHF 20, food lovers can enjoy a generous plate of 100% Gruyère AOP fondue, artisan bread, IGP dry sausage, potatoes, gherkins… all accompanied by a glass of Chasselas wine. A relaxed gourmet experience, perfect for enjoying the flavours of Vaud in all simplicity.

4. A Festive Fondue at Parc Valency with Lausanne à Table
On 5 October 2025, the Lausanne à Table event invites residents and visitors to an autumn fondue in the heart of Valency Park. The concept? Sharing a half-and-half fondue, made with Gruyère AOP cheese and white wine, outdoors, surrounded by colourful trees and a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva. It is perhaps the most Lausanne-like experience of all: simple, convivial and imbued with the beauty of the landscape.

Beyond the Dish: Fondue as a Lausanne Way of Life
Whether enjoyed on a boat, in a barrel, facing the lake or in the hustle and bustle of a festive park, Lausanne fondue goes beyond the culinary realm. It becomes an excuse to get together, a moment of sharing that combines tradition and creativity, local produce and discovery.

So, on your next visit to Lausanne, let yourself be surprised by these unusual places. Because here, fondue is not just a winter dish: it is an experience, an invitation to sit down at the table in a different way and savour autumn in all its generosity.
